Peter Tarricone
GUITAR/UKULELE/MANDOLIN/BANJO
Peter Tarricone has been playing guitar for over twenty years and has been teaching for over fifteen years. He has a deep passion for music and music education. He received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education and Classical Guitar Performance from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, and he received his Master's degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Tennessee. Peter is well versed in a variety of styles including jazz, classical, blues, rock, bluegrass, country, and funk. In addition to guitar, he also teaches ukulele, bass, banjo, and mandolin. Peter is a dedicated and motivated teacher who enjoys helping his students reach their full potential.
After graduating from UT, Peter spent a few years teaching private and group lessons full-time and performing in the Knoxville area. Later, he spent over a year traveling the world while playing in the show band on Royal Caribbean Cruise ships. Around 2014, Peter moved to Asheville, North Carolina where he taught private lessons and played freelance gigs with other musicians throughout Western North Carolina.
Peter moved to Boise in 2018 with his girlfriend, Nicky, and German Shepherd, Kovax. They enjoy hiking in the Boise foothills, going for bike rides along the Greenbelt, and going skiing at Bogus Basin. They are excited to further explore everything the Treasure Valley has to offer.
